Mike joined Endow 30 years ago, originally as a practising Solicitor and partner at Turner Hopkins law firm. With his extensive experience in both legal and financial realms, Mike plays a pivotal role at Endow, overseeing the screening of all new loans and managing the company's day-to-day operations. His dedication to Endow's mission stems from a profound commitment to creating lasting value for investors and facilitating financial solutions for Kiwis looking to fund their home or property projects.
Mike's knack for building genuine relationships with investors, borrowers, property owners, and brokers has been instrumental in Endow's ongoing success and expansion. Recognising the importance of trust in the industry, he actively fosters and nurtures these relationships.
Beyond his duties at Endow, Mike cherishes spending quality time with his family on weekly surf missions and planning adventurous surf holidays to remote destinations. When the waves are calm, he indulges in rounds of golf at Te Arai or tends to his garden with a margarita in hand.

What would you be doing if you weren’t working in finance;
I would have loved to be a professional sportsperson. In my younger years, surfing or tennis were my preferred sports. Your options become limited a little later in life, but the idea of competing on the senior golf tour has become more enticing. It's not just about the game; it's about the opportunity to travel the world and share those experiences with family and fellow competitors.
Favourite food;
I have a real fondness for dishes that highlight the freshness of their ingredients. Cooking up simple, tasty meals is something I genuinely enjoy. While I can never resist a great pasta dish, these days, I'm exploring Mexican cuisine's bold flavours. Hosting "Mike's Mexican Monday" get-togethers for family and friends has become a fun, regular event at my home.
How do you like to start the day;
If I can't start my day with a surf, my next favourite option is a refreshing swim along Takapuna Beach, followed by a delicious soy flat white at the Beach Cafe.
