Molokai to Oahu Paddleboard World Championships

Endow is a proud to be a supporter and sponsor of a local team competing in the Paddleboard World Championships, from Molokai to Oahu.

This is a world’s premier endurance paddleboard event. Attracting athletes from around the world, competing across various paddleboard disciplines in a 52 kilometre race between the Hawaiian islands of Molokai and Oahu.

The 24th edition of the race will take place on the 31st of July. It’s expected to see a large and highly competitive field after a three year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Participating athletes that have been selected to race competitively are four members of the Mairangi Bay Surf Life Saving Club;
Joe Wilson - individual prone (12ft)
Lucas Forbes – individual prone (12ft)
Harry Hickey & Tom Lowe – U79 team prone (12ft)

As a group, the team have been training from March, upwards of 10 times a week. Their race campaign involves a final training and acclimatisation period in Honolulu approximately 2 weeks prior to the event. The Molokai to Oahu is held in high esteem in the surf and ocean sports communities, representing the pinnacle of endurance paddle board racing. For the four Mairangi Bay clubbies, it will be their biggest race yet, and is the culmination of years of training.
